Have you ever bought or rented a video tape that wasn’t quite right? It may have been a pirate copy, an illegal and inferior copy for which you paid good money.

Also, 4 days :/ It’s going to be an interesting week.

It’s ok, I gave the pirates all my “bad money” instead and kept the good stuff for guide dog donations and girl scout cookies :) …. Mmmmmm Cookies ….

Pirate tapes rob artists and studios of their rightful income, and add to the cost of the video to the consumer. Pirate tapes are recognisable by poor sound and/or picture quality, the lack of sensors or labels on the face and spine of the tape, and the lack of warnings, such as this, at the beginning of the tape presentation. If you have bought or rented a tape which you believe is not the geniuine article, call this toll free number for advice, or write to post office box 515 mona vale, new south wales, 2103. this message is brought to you by the australian film and video securities (sic) office.
