This movie is depressing.

It’s late, I’m at work fighting sleep, so I figured I’d watch a movie to pass the time and to keep me awake. Bad, bad idea. Again. Every time I watch this stupid, stupid movie, I get all mopey and such.

Have any of you seen Raise Your Voice? Yes, I’m quite aware that it’s a dopey Hilary Duff movie, and I probably wouldn’t watch it if I didn’t have this… odd Hilary Duff obsession..thing, but hey. I watched it. The damage is done. In any event, at some point in the movie after she starts dating this guy and she tells him all her secrets, he betrays her and makes out with a really hawt evil blonde chick. The evil blonde skank is all “omigosh everything is so bad can I talk to you, you know, in private?”. Rargh! Anyway, Hilary walks in on them, wide eyed, lip trembling, yells at him, and flops onto her bed, bawling her adorable little eyes out. It’s pretty upsetting. Anyway, he sweet talks her (’I..I wasn’t kissing her! She was kissing me! Terri, I don’t care about her. I care about you! Look, Terri. I care about you, you know I do!’ She responds, again wide eyed, with “…but why would you do that to me “) and shortly after, she forgives him. What a jackass.

Sure, that might be hypocritical, but from a 3rd person view, sheesh. Even I can tell he’s going to do it again. Perhaps it’s just hitting a little too close to home.
