The Mars Volta.

So, tonight I went to see The Mars Volta at the arena.
It. Was. Awesome. Omar has a ridiculously tiny butt. Ian came to pick me up at about a quarter to seven, at which point I bounded outside and down the stairs excitedly, proclaimed just how skanky my new boots are and chattered nervously like a chimp for a while. He got dressed, while I bounced around some more (excitedly) and we eventually set off.

Omar (pictured) has a really, really tiny butt (not yet pictured) he had cute tiny underwear on, too. As illustrated, he’s left handed
After lining up for a comparitively short amount of time, everyone streamed inside (I’m going to go right ahead and assume they all did it excitedly), we took our place at the front near the barrier, and I got stuck behind a smelly, tiny asian.

Cedric, the hottest band member, has a (faaantastic) habit of gyrating, thrusting and generally being very, very entertaining on stage. His pants were very, very good at gyrating with him. Needless to say (ohgodheissoveryveryhawt) I was very, very entertained.
After waiting at the barrier for what seemed like.. well, quite a long time, expecting the support act to come out and make us all warm, out of nowhere came The Mars Volta’s intro music. From the sudden outburst of (presumably excited) cheers, screams, wolfwhistles and clapping, it became rather evident that i wasn’t the only one pleased with the unexpected lineup change.

Finally, a picture of Omar’s tiny butt. I know I’ve stressed this from the first paragraph, but it really is tiny. The cute shirt/pants/vest combo he wore at the concert (not pictured) made this even more obvious than in the picture above.
The boys came out and blew us all away from the moment they stepped on stage. Cedric and Omar both reek of charisma- their lack of interaction with the crowd doesn’t seem to affect the way the audience respond to their mesmerising on stage antics. I heard someone remark from behind me that the amount of ’space that Omar (being the guitarist) had to perform in was nearly 4x the amount of space that the bass guitarist had’. At first I was a little puzzled, because he was correct- but after seeing Omar writhe around, guitar in hand, it was obvious why he had at least a third of the stage dedicated to him. Most of the audience, at least for the first song, only had eyes for little Omar. Until Ian pointed out Cedric and his microphone stand antics, I have to admit, even I was watching Omar and Omar alone. The entire concert, bar the few moments I slipped outside to get some fresh air, chewing gum and water, was amazing. The last song they played (Cassandra Gemini) was far and away the best. The energy level of the entire band, especially the black heavy set piano player rose visibly, and they started interacting with each other a little more.
I’d type more, but I’m tired, so i’ll leave you with a picture of the boys looking hawt, and an (excited) oh god, oh god, it was amazing and I wish you could’ve all come.

“oh god, it was amazing and I wish you could’ve all come.”
YEAH ME TOO
*tear*
