Meet Whalley.

Whalley has recently started paying attention to his blog again so I decided that I’d feature him on my blog this week. I need things to write about and as you can see he is very cute, so I thought it would be a good idea.

He’s a cool cat, and his blog is an interesting read. We also both have an interest in loving Matt Heafy crotchly with mouth, joining clubs that involve monogrammed jackets, and playing the trumpet. So go, read his blog and enjoy it as much as I do.

Grant and I got bored on our graveyard.  Really, really bored.  So, as we do, we decided to watch some google videos.

We stumbled across this absolute gem and I thought I’d share it with ya’ll.

My throat is so ridiculously sore it isn’t even funny. I can’t swallow, I can’t talk properly, and I’m all lethargic and sleepy :(

I went to the Brisbane Jazz Club recently with Danny, Happy, Andrew and Gen to listen to some awesome live music, and you can read all about it here. In the meantime, I have some photos for you.

The Brisbane Jazz club is located on Annie street in Kangaroo Point, practically directly underneath the bridge. It’s in a beautiful location- from the inside of the club you can see the river out the window. We were talking about how many offers they must get to demolish the place, because it’s.. right on the river. Really really beautiful spot.

Danny and I, watching the band.

A photo that Gen took of Danny and I. I can’t remember exactly what the band were playing at this point, I’m fairly sure we were both admiring the singer though. She had a really cute, bubbly voice, and she was really entertaining.

The Band

A photo of the band! The bassist that you can see in the middle composed most of the pieces that we listened to- Danny remarked offhandedly that all the music were his were in ABA form. After about ten minutes of scrutiny I agreed. The saxophonist was amazing, and the flugel player had really good range. He slipped up a fair bit, but the crowd didn’t notice/didn’t care.

I’m tired. You can read more about the evening on Danny’s site.

Hooray for friday. I didn’t actually get a wink of sleep last night, so.. I have spent the time wisely. I have planned my day.

I’m going to go to the gym and run for 45 minutes, get my hair cut, come home and nap, go shopping with Mala, go shopping with Whalley, come home and nap, go out for dinner with my awesome friends, and go to the API to celebrate my recent successes by getting entirely too drunk.

It’s going to be a lovely day.

Edit:
We ended up at the norman for dinner, and then at the API for drinks. I have some photos, here’s one of me and Ashley.
