Valentines Day!

Posted 1 year, 9 months ago at 4:07 pm. 1 comment

I really like the idea behind Valentines day.

No no, not the shopping and the gifting and the presenting. The… set aside a day where you reaally go out of your way to do something special for your significant other. The cooking dinner and being affectionate and cute.

And if you’re single? Do what I’m doing. Going out with a bunch of cute single friends to drink and be merry (and head to work at 11:10pm :()

In any case, have an awesome day guys. Much love to you all. <3

===================================

I’ve returned, fairly unscathed, from the valentinesing activities.  They weren’t very valentinesy aside from the end of evening hugs, but I had a great time.  I seriously have to go out more often, and I must have Ashley at my side when I do it, he’s the coolest guy.

After having a few brews at UJs, we headed up to the pancake manor to have some food, which was quite delicious.  Shortly after, we went to the downunder bar where I allegedly danced.  Don’t believe a word of it, it never happened.  Now?  I’m at work, chilling out, with a teensy bit of a headache.

Kisses, kids.  I’m off to do some work.  *chuckles*

Yeah,  I thought it was funny too.

Sam and I have been getting bored on graveyards.  Bored to the point where we started making pew pew lazer noises at each other.  And then expressing our pews.  You know.  Visually. PEW PEW.

I Want Things!

Posted 1 year, 9 months ago at 3:33 am. 3 comments

No sooner than I almost have car keys in my hot little hands, I want more things. Fortunately (aside from my aspirations for home ownership), none of the things I want are anywhere NEAR as expensive as a shiny new Jessmobile. So, as well as having a 10 year plan, I have a list of 10 things I want by the end of this year. Not that I’ll actually get them, but things that’d be really nice to have.

#1 - The Jessmobile.

Jessmobile motherfuckers.

I’ve wanted a car since I was 16. Seriously, the idea of not relying on mumsies to give me rides everywhere was extremely appealing. Currently, the idea of not relying on Brisbane’s ridiculous excuse for a public transport system is even more appealing. (Side Note: I waited 20 minutes tonight in the god damned rain for a god damned bus that didn’t even GOD DAMNED COME. As Murphys Law would have it (that fucking guy), it was the last bus of the evening, forcing me to call a taxi. A shiny orange taxi that contained possibly the most useless taxi driver I have ever encountered. Seriously, who the hell drives in the centre of two lanes, car directly atop the dotted line? That, and he could hear anything I was saying. Those of you who know me well (hell, those of you who’ve met me, you know, once) are aware of how loud I talk. A JESSMOBILE WOULD (AND WILL) SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS. HOORAY.

#2 - IXUS 60!

Ixus!

My Rach has one of these, she brought it to Brisbane with her and I thought it was totally awesome. So, I want one. They’re only $330something from Umart, so when I get my research monies I’ll probably get one of these straight up.

It has some pretty cool features, the one that I’m most fond of being the rechargable battery. I hate having to buy batteries, it frustrates me beyond belief. Quite honestly, some unreasonable amount that I’ll probably be discussing with a therapist at some point. In any case, it’s pretty, it’s point and click, and it’s teeny weeny with a huge lcd preview screen.

#3 - Gears of War
Gears of War.
Gears of War! Except, I want it on PC. The problem is? I’m expecting by the time that GoW comes out on PC, it’ll be using DX10. DX10 = upgrading to Vista. Upgrading to Vista = you can bite my ass. Maybe I’ll have to buy an Xbox360 when the new ones come out :(

#4 - New Corset!

One of these two, or both, to add to my awesome collection. My awesome collection of two.

I figure the first one, which I’d be getting in black, would be appropriate for use in public. You know, you could fit it in with normal outfits. Probably. The second? Well. I’d reserve it for dressing up and being silly, but I can’t help but be drawn to it - ESPECIALLY in pinstripe!

#5 - 7 day trip to Tokyo to celebrate Rach’s Graduation!

This one still has some details to be nutted out, and I still have some extreme budgeting to do to see if I can work this one into the schedule, but it looks like it may be a goer. We’re thinking sometime in November. Stay tuned for more details :D

#6- Tattoos!

Ever since I had my tongue pierced I’ve been interested in body modification. I’m fond of the idea of a few more piercings too, but for now I’ll just look forward to the tattoos. The top one is to go on the back of my neck (without the four coggy bits, and all filled in properly, obviously no sketchy bits), and the Trivium one is to go on the inside of my left wrist.

#7 - Bookcase.

I’m a total asshole to my books. The ones I like looking at are currently strewn about my room, and the rest I’ve packed away, in boxes, under the house. In the dirty dank dampness. So, I need.. say.. two bookcases to put all my books in, so I can stop being a total asshole to my poor books. They deserve better :( Ideally, I’d like a dark coloured bookcase to go with the rest of my furnishings, but for now I’ll grab a couple of cheapies from Ikea and do what I can with ‘em.
#8 - Trivium.

<3 <3 so hot.

In concert. Again. PLEEASE.

Okay, so maybe I’m being selfish. Maybe I’m still tripping off my post concert contact with extreme hotness excitement. Whatever it is, I can’t stop hitting up google video for live stuff to watch. I’m way too fond of them, especially Matt Heafy. That’s because he’s way hot though. *drool*

#9 - BBQ!

Yes, I realise this means I’m settling down, growing up and all that. Sure, I feel like a bit of an old man. But.. I want a BBQ!

You all know how social I am, and to be perfectly honest, I really love standing around the barbie, beer in hand, while the boys squabble over who is going to be doing the cooking. To have that at home, we’re going to need a bbq.

#10 - A new guitar!

Don’t get me wrong, I still really love my old guitar. Clancy and I, we go way back. Thing is though, I need a new one. Well, a new two, really. I want an electric so I can bust out the super jam things or whatever, and I want an acoustic so I can do my usual 3 chord singalongs. They’re a whole lotta fun.

===========================

Okay. So that’s the whole list done. Yup, not one computer related item. Unexpected, huh?
Welll…. I have another 10. Except they’re all computer related. And they can wait a while, because this post has taken way too long. Much love to you and your mothers. <3

10 year plan.

Posted 1 year, 9 months ago at 4:38 am. 0 comments

WA was a good kick in the butt for me. Kinda gave me the inspiration I required to sit down and really think about what the hell I’m doing with my life. So, I’m working on a 10 year plan. With charts and lists and pie graphs and everything. Well, maybe not the pie graphs. I can’t keep that up for 10 years.

In any case, I’ve been a busy little bunny. I’ve organised my budget, arranged some planners and a timeline to keep on my wall, and I’ve finally got a vague idea of where I want to be (or at least, DOING) for the next 10 years. Or so. For the next, say, 6 months, I’m basically planning to stay the fuck away from boys, pass my licence exam (which is on the 7th of March), and do extra, super dooperly well at work. If you come to my house you can ogle my cool timeline that should be going up within the next couple of days.

Also, I miss all of you terribly. Especially Ashley (who I happen to be so proud of). A huge thanks to Shaun for fixing my site, making it look pretty, and adding the AWESOME gallery plugin, as demonstrated above and to my right just myah ->>

<3 <3

Edit: I’ve put the wall planners up, and they’re already covered in red pen scribble.  I guess that means I have more stuff to do than I thought *gulp*

Just a minor post to let you all know what I’m doing.

I’m going to Western Australia tomorrow during the day - my grandfather has been battling prostate cancer for quite some time now, and his doctors have told my sister to gather all his family together. So, we’re going to WA. I’ll be back Thursday or Friday.
