I really like the idea behind Valentines day.
No no, not the shopping and the gifting and the presenting. The… set aside a day where you reaally go out of your way to do something special for your significant other. The cooking dinner and being affectionate and cute.
And if you’re single? Do what I’m doing. Going out with a bunch of cute single friends to drink and be merry (and head to work at 11:10pm :()
In any case, have an awesome day guys. Much love to you all. <3
===================================
I’ve returned, fairly unscathed, from the valentinesing activities. They weren’t very valentinesy aside from the end of evening hugs, but I had a great time. I seriously have to go out more often, and I must have Ashley at my side when I do it, he’s the coolest guy.
After having a few brews at UJs, we headed up to the pancake manor to have some food, which was quite delicious. Shortly after, we went to the downunder bar where I allegedly danced. Don’t believe a word of it, it never happened. Now? I’m at work, chilling out, with a teensy bit of a headache.
Kisses, kids. I’m off to do some work. *chuckles*
Yeah, I thought it was funny too.

I’m thinking about changing my name to “Trivica” by Deed Poll. Well, almost.
Tonight’s concert absolutely blew me away. We arrived early, which was good because we got lost, and bumped into everyone’s favourite Slipknot boys in the line.
Onto the concert. My fucking god. My fucking fucking god. This evening was practically a religious experience. A lifechanging, once in a lifetime thing. You may think I’m overreacting, but… this is TRIVIUM. They even played Master of Puppets. I’m working on getting a setlist, but I’m pretty sure of the following. Like Light to the Flies was god damned amazing, Gunshot went fucking off, Dying in your arms.. well. He introduced it by saying “this is for all the girls in this beautiful country” or something, so of course we enjoyed it. They did a bit from the new album, but that was okay. They did ember to inferno, too. They went off, we yelled encore, and they came back with Anthem, and PULL HARDER. MY GOD. IT WAS SO GOOD.
Not to mention that they did Master of Puppets and Walk. My god. I need to sit down.
Sorry this was so poorly written, I had to spit it all out before I pass out asleep so I remember it all. Hugs and kisses!

This is Rachel.

Rachel is superdooperly fantastically awesome, and I love her to tiny little pieces. As suspected, we hit it off immediately. She’s leaving tomorrow morning, but luckily for me (and, of course, for her) we’ll be seeing each other again soon. Of course, you all know about Rach after reading my blog, so I don’t really have to explain much. So yeah. I guess I’ll just put up a stack of photos so you can all coo happily.
On Monday night we went to the Newmarket Hotel for their comedy open mic night - holy cow, some of them were so freaking funny. I annoyed people at work for days to come with jokes. I mean, come on. Miss Muffet eating Kurds? Fucking hilarious!

Those cocktails were the shiznit.
No seriously. That’s what they were called. The Shiznit. They were delicious, too. Gotta go back to the newmarket and find out what’s in them.
The following photos are from Weednesday night, the night we went to pancakes regardless

Tongue Rings!

I started laughing halfway through taking this photo, but it turned out okay anyway

A reeeelatively normal one.

Some scenery of our beautiful city to clear your palatte of all the Jess and Rach.

And, of course, no trip to the cas would be complete without a $3 daquiri

Oh Jess, you daquiri whore.
On Thursday night we went out for dinner at A Night In India, my favourite Indian restaurant in the universe. Okay. Favourite in the Toowong area.
Rach, Tom and Ashley looking adorable. How cute is Tom? :3
Us at the Vic, on our respective bad sides.

Awesometastic cocktails!
That night we had some strawberry thing, and these. These are called fruit tingles.
Me declaring my undying love.

Rach and Ash being waaay too cute.

Rach and Dan!
Aaaand that’s all I have. I have exhausted my supply of photos. Have an awesome day, kids <3

Ahhhhh last night was fun.
I don’t remember all of it, and it is in fact quite likely that I am still half drunk. I typed that as ‘have drunk’ the first time through, so I’m becoming more and more convinced.
I went shopping all day with an old friend and picked up some very cute jeans and a few nice tops. Awesomely huge thanks to him for the shopping shennanigans.
Joel arrived at my house BEFORE 7, tsk tsk, and we visited the massive liquor store down the road before heading to Toms. Instead of the standard fruity lexia we went for a classic dry white, and it was a fantastic choice. We discussed this in the car this morning - Fruity Lexia gets really, really sickly sweet, whereas the dry white isn’t horrible at all. Our intention was 100 shots of goon in 100 minutes, Joel pussied out on 13. So soft.
We had already decided upon chinese for dinner while we were eating pancakes yesterday morning - so we ordered from Suzie Wongs. I’ve never been there before but the food isn’t half bad at all- except EVERYONE ordered mongolian beef. Yummy, but a wee bit sickening for the drinking. We ordered WAY too much food (I just typed ‘phone’ instead of food) but it was still fantastic.
The drinking started as already described- Joel sooked out, I continued for a while and then just started mugging the goon. Jessica being Jessica, I got on msn and IRC and made a git of myself for a while, which was okay. The night gets a little foggy after that, but I’m told that Joel spilt sack on himself, which cheers me. I remember coming upstairs after being on the phone and there being beds everywhere, and then I remember falling asleep beside a very nice boy who was also very warm.
Joel decided to wake me up by clapping his wet hands in my face, thus being noisy AND misting me with water. I kinda just lay there moaning “Why” a whole lot while the nice warm boy (i THINK his name was James, I’m not sure.) somehow located all my belongings. Slowly the memories from the crazy drunkeness returned and I blushed and apologised for how drunk I was.
I love that the hangover is generally accompanied by feelings of embarassment. Seriously, general humiliation is so heavily associated with the drinking, yet we keep going back. Despite the pained screams from my assumedly engorged liver, I keep going back.
Man man the delirious.
Edit: JOEL WHY DOES MY HAIR TASTE LIKE YOUR LOLLYPOP THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
